Cobolt AB has released a new wavelength on the single-frequency Cobolt Jive diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser. It now operates at 561 nm with up to 300 mW of continuous-wave output power and is suited to applications such as flow cytometry and superresolution microscopy. It produces a TEM00 beam with M2 <1.1, and a new proprietary cavity design provides ultralow-noise performance of typically <0.1% rms from 20 Hz to 20 MHz, an operating temperature range of 0 to 40 °C, and a narrow spectral linewidth of <1 MHz. Immune to optical feedback, the laser is manufactured using proprietary HTCure technology in a compact and hermetically sealed package that provides reliability and immunity to varying environmental conditions. The laser can withstand multiple 60-g mechanical shocks in operation.
