Courtesy of Balluff.Balluf's 5 GigE BVS CA-GV 5GigE cameras feature a compact design with a front surface area of 29 × 29 mm and power consumption of <4.8 W. The low heat output enables integration without additional cooling hardware. The cameras are equipped with Sony Pregius-S monochrome and color sensors ranging from 3.2 to 24.6 MP. Additional UV and SWIR sensors expand the options to more than 20 sensor configurations at launch. Also available are cooled SWIR sensors and the 16.4 MP IMX901 sensor, housed in a 40 × 40 mm enclosure with a TFL mount for larger-format lenses up to 2 in. image diagonal. The modular design provides a cost-effective standard configuration while offering custom options such as filters, extended temperature ranges, cleanroom production, and precision sensor alignment. The series can be used in applications spanning industrial image processing, UV and SWIR inspection tasks, and high-resolution machine vision systems.
