Space Optics Research Labs (SORL) has introduced a high-throughput, spectrally agile 6X reflective objective that provides near-diffraction-limited performance in the visible and the UV. The company says that this f/1 objective uses interferometrically aligned parabolic reflectors with high-efficiency broadband coatings for optimal signal collection and image formation. The reflectors have a wavefront accuracy of λ/10 and are custom-polished on ultralow-expansion ceramic Zerodur substrates. The objective has a numerical aperture of 0.5 and obscuration of 28%.
