Exalos AG has released a line of 750-nm superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLEDs) that can be used for optical coherence tomography and sensor applications. The products include the EXS7505-1411, which has an optical output power of 3 mW in a single-mode fiber and a spectral bandwidth of 21 nm and 3 dB, and the EXS7510-1411, which exhibits an optical output power of 5 mW in a single-mode fiber with a spectral bandwidth of 14 nm and 3 dB. Besides these devices, which are enclosed in a 14-pin dual in-line housing with a built-in thermoelectric cooler and a monitor diode, the company offers the EXS7505-8411, an uncooled 750-nm SLED in transmitter optical subassembly housing.
