LIVINGSTON, Scotland, March 4, 2014 — Optoscribe has added an eight-channel multicore fiber fan-out device to its 3D Optofan series for high-speed telecommunications.

Users can customize the configuration to suit multicore fiber geometry, enabling an increase in the amount of data that can be transferred and a reduction in cabling dimensions.

The series also includes 4-, 7- and 19-channel devices.
