JENA, Germany, Feb. 19, 2016 — Jenoptik AG has announced single emitters radiating at 808 nm for use as solid-state laser pump sources with lower power.

The power-scaled emitter chips have a cavity length of 2 and 4 mm with apertures of 95, 100 and 200 μm, based on transverse-magnetic-polarized material. Five-emitter bars can operate at 40 W.

Applications include diode direct- and micromarking, metrology, and instrumentation uses.
