EXALOS.jpgExalos AG has expanded its family of broadband superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLEDs) to include the 860-nm semiconductor light source. Delivered in a 14-pin package with a built-in thermoelectric cooler and monitor diode, the EXS8610-2413 model delivers 4-mW optical output power in a single-mode fiber with a spectral bandwidth of 65 nm at 3 dB and 100 nm at 10 dB. The SLED is suitable for high-resolution optical coherence tomography and fiber optic sensors.
