A1 MP+, A1R MP+ Multiphoton Confocal Imaging
Nikon Instruments Inc.Request Info
Nikon Inc. has added three upgrades to its multiphoton confocal microscopy systems, A1 MP+ and A1R MP+, to enable deep-tissue two-photon fluorescence imaging at longer wavelengths.
The company has developed a new scanner that enables longer IR wavelength imaging in the 1000- to 1300-nm range. It has also improved its 25×, 1.1-numerical-aperture, 2-mm-working-distance multiphoton objective lens for high transmission at these wavelengths, and developed a GaAsP nondescanned detector that allows sensing of weaker fluorescent signals.
The company says that the system will increase the accessibility of the various fluorophores developed in recent years that excite optimally at longer IR wavelengths, including mCherry, and will enable deeper penetration into the sample size due to the reduced light scatter at longer wavelengths.
