Halcyonics GmbH has announced acoustic enclosures to protect sensitive equipment from airborne noise. They are supplied for use with the company’s active vibration isolation system and can be ordered as accessories for its Active Workstation 780 and 900 laboratory tables. They also can be used separately. The front part of the enclosure is lifted by the pneumatic lift deck system to provide access to the interior of the equipment setup; i.e., microscopes can be easily accessed at an angle from either side. Multilayer wall construction provides optimal broadband damping of acoustic noise. Inclined at 4°, the walls prevent sound waves from spreading.
