BARRINGTON, N.J., July 17, 2013 — The AI LED pattern projectors from Edmund Optics eliminate poor line sharpness, scattering and diffraction effects of typical laser sources for applications that require structured illumination, including mechanical alignment, profile management, 3-D reconstruction, visualization and mapping.

The projector can be used with C-mount-compatible imaging lenses and negatively patterned 21-mm reticles to provide specific structured illumination geometries. It also can be used without a reticle, serving as adjustable spotlights.

Wavelength options include blue (470 nm), green (530 nm), red (625 nm) and white; line, cross, stripe, grid and edge patterns are available in a variety of thicknesses and spacing in photolithography or laser-engraved models.
