A CCD-ICP analyzer designed for laboratories that do not require extended VUV performance is available from Spectro Analytical Instruments Inc. The Ciros M, which has no moving parts, performs element determination simultaneously, and the time per test is independent of the number of elements measured. The device can measure sensitive UV lines, such as phosphorous and sulfur, and offers wavelength coverage from 175 to 770 nm. It can capture the whole spectrum with each analysis, and additional lines and elements can be evaluated later if required. The company says the Ciros M provides increased sample throughput.
