TaylorHobson.jpgTaylor Hobson Ltd. has launched a form and surface finish profiler, the Form Talysurf PGI 2540 aspheric measurement system. The instrument measures form with up to 25-mm vertical range and surface finish with resolution down to 0.2 nm. The system measures complex, rotationally symmetric lenses and calculates aspheric coefficients and errors automatically. The 200-mm traverse length with motorized stylus-lift mechanism improves stability by allowing many components to be measured without moving the column position between traces. Active antivibration mounts, an environmental enclosure and proprietary Ultra software with “learn mode” ability are included.
