TECHSPEC® Achromatic Cylinder Lenses minimize spherical and chromatic aberration at the image plane. Used with a monochromatic light source, the achromatic cylinder lens creates a 50% to 90% smaller spot, depending on the numerical aperture of the lens. Used with a broadband light source, the lens will minimize chromatic aberration, yielding focused lines with less color separation. Ideal for medical, analytical and applications requiring magnification in only one dimension.
