KEENE, N.H., April 14, 2011 — StingRay Optics has announced the all-refractive SuperBand Optic line. The superspectral achromatized lens series is designed to keep pace with advances in detector technology.
The new lens assemblies offer achromatic imaging from the visible range to far-infrared wavelengths. The optics are suitable for systems comprising multiple sensors, stacked focal plane arrays (FPAs) or dual-detector arrays via a common aperture approach.
Available in 25-, 50- and 100-mm focal lengths, the lenses are designed for use with cooled detectors. They offer an f/2.5 cold-shield arrangement and are well suited for use with the 640 × 512, 15-μm FPA formats. Other SuperBand lens configurations include options for designs with dual fields of view, varying f-number systems, large-format FPAs and alternate sensitivity ranges.
The company will showcase the SuperBand products at SPIE’s Defense, Security and Sensing from April 25 to 29 in Orlando, Fla.
