IRVINE, Calif., March 3, 2016 — Active Isolation WorkstationsNewport Corp. has announced the Guardian series of active isolation workstations for super high-resolution microscopy, metrology and other low-frequency isolation applications.

Two active isolation modules reduce translational and rotational vibration in all 6 degrees of freedom in real time. Active vibration isolation technology removes resonance responses inherent to passive systems while providing up to 50 times more (34 dB) additional isolation.

Active modules are combined with Newport’s VIBe mechanical isolators to achieve high performance across a wide frequency range. A perimeter provides effective broadband damping for delicate instruments.
