ANDOVER, Mass., May 2, 2022 — Additive Manufacturing Laser Measurement SystemThe Ophir® BeamPeekfrom MKS Instruments Inc. is an integrated beam analysis and power measurement system for additive manufacturing.

Providing fast, accurate, and real-time measurement of lasers in additive manufacturing chambers, the system does not require water or fan cooling. It measures powers up to 1 kW for two minutes for both green and NIR wavelengths, and can be used for field service testing of additive manufacturing chamber powder beds. It is able to withstand chamber conditions including the presence of metal powder residuals and when cooling agents or airflow connection points are not available.
