Adhesive-Curing Conveyors

The Edge-Carry conveyor series from Dymax Corp. is designed for rapid curing of ultraviolet and visible light-sensitive adhesives, inks and coatings where typical belt-transport-style conveyors may cause clearance issues or damage to sensitive components.

The conveyors provide seamless transition from upstream and downstream assembly, dispense and transport systems to save time and improve manufacturing efficiency. Parts populated on two sides, such as printed circuit boards, or palletized components are handled expediently.

The systems can be outfitted with a variety of lamp configurations to address application-specific requirements, and they offer consistent cure times and complete shielding from UV light. Standard height clearance is 3/4-in. across and 18 in. width, suitable for low-profile parts such as PCBs, and up to 6 in. across a 13.75-in. width, which can be increased to either 8 or 12 in. with optional risers installed.
