Newport Corp. has expanded its solid aluminum breadboard product line for basic photonics research and OEM optical assemblies. The SA2 series includes more sizes and vertical bracket accessories to provide a stable and lightweight platform for optical components and subassemblies. The new sizes include 6 x 24, 6 x 36, 12 x 36 and 24 x 36 in., to offer more flexibility for optical experiments. Features include a standard grid of tapped holes that extends to within 0.5 in. of the plate edges, providing an increased mounting surface, and “in grid” counterbored holes and deep edge chamfers that facilitate lifting, aligning and integrating the breadboards onto standard optical tables. The SA2-BRKT series vertical brackets are offered in three sizes.
