CAMARILLO, Calif., Sept. 14, 2023 — Semtech Amplifier and Laser DriverThe FiberEdge® GN1816 and GN1848 from Semtech are linear transimpedance amplifiers and laser drivers, respectively, for short reach 400 g and 800 g data center applications. The GN1816 is a 56 GBd feature-rich quad 250-μm pitch low power, low noise, and high gain TIA, while the GN1848 is a 56 GBd quad low power, and highly linear Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser (VCSEL) driver. Both chips are available as wire-bondable bare dies and are designed for 400GBASE-SR4/VR4 and 800GBASE-SR8/VR8 PAM4 multimode optical transceivers and AOCs.
