Coherent.jpgCoherent Inc. has released its Legend Elite Duo integrated Ti:sapphire amplifiers providing >6-mJ pulse energy at a 1-kHz repetition rate or >1.2-mJ pulses at 5 kHz. Available in models with <130- or <40-fs pulse duration, the two-stage systems yield 6-mm-diameter beams with <0.75% rms noise and M2 <1.5. The company says that the amplifiers are stable, easy to operate, and suitable for use in ultrafast spectroscopy and other high-power applications.
