Toptica Photonics AG has released the TA-B series tapered amplifiers and TA-100 series laser systems. Suitable for interferometry, holography, Raman spectroscopy, and atom cooling and trapping, the devices provide an economical replacement for dye or frequency-doubled solid-state lasers. They are available in wavelengths from 658 to 670 nm with up to 500 mW of output power, and up to 1080 nm with up to 1 W of output power. The lasers supply single spatial and spectral mode output, narrow linewidths, tunability and high beam quality. The amplifiers boost the output power of diode or gas lasers by up to 100 times, while maintaining the laser’s spectral properties and providing near-diffraction-limit beam quality.
