The Master Anamorphic MA135/T1.9 lens by Zeiss and Arri rounds off the portfolio of anamorphic cine lenses jointly developed by the companies, bringing the number to a total of seven focal lengths. The lenses, which enable filmmakers to achieve unique image compositions, feature low distortion and hardly any image breathing. They eliminated the issue of anamorphic mumps (wide-looking faces) by positioning the cylindrical elements at important points in the lens. The telecentric optical design reduces chromatic aberrations and shading in the corners of the image. The speed of the T1.9 enables details to be set apart from the background at all focal lengths.
