ibidi-GmbH.jpgThe μ-Slide Angiogenesis carrier for angiogenesis assays is part of the μ-Slide family of flow-through devices for the functional analysis of living cells, which consists of slides for cell-culture and high-end optical microscopy. Available from ibidi GmbH, the device enables cells to be grown on gel matrices or directly on the coversliplike plastic bottom. Consisting of 15 wells, it features a well-in-well structure, which reduces the amount of gel matrix material needed and avoids meniscus formation. The diameters of the inner and outer wells are 4 and 5 mm, respectively. The amount of matrix required in each inner well is 10 μl. The geometry of the slide places the cells that need to be imaged in the same focal plane, which improves the imaging quality of the assays.
