Annular Quadrant Si DetectorsQuadrant silicon photodiodes operate between 350 and 1100 nm. Used for backscatter-reflectivity measurements, the annular package design features 200 µm laser-cut hole on the chip and a header that enables coupling a fiber from the back of the detector. This ensures the detector’s sensing area is always normal to the direction of light, reducing the need for angular compensation during backscatter measurements.
