Automated MicroscopeThe LionHeart LX Automated Microscope from BioTek Instruments Inc. is an affordable and compact automated microscope offering contrast brightfield, color brightfield and fluorescence imaging with up to 100× air and oil immersion magnification.

Users can automatically image microplates, slides, cell culture dishes and flasks with ease. Gen5 Microplate Reader and Imager Software controls Lionheart LX, helping to enable augmented microscopy for fully automated image capture, processing and analysis. User-friendly automated features include autofocus, auto exposure and auto-LED intensity. The ocular-free hardware eliminates the ergonomic risk factors of manual methods. Gen5 software offers advanced image analysis, and the LED filter cubes and objectives are easily and quickly changed according to user needs. For added convenience, a quick analyze feature provides instant cell count and confluence measurements from the live camera feed, prior to image capture.

Lionheart LX is suited for a broad range of applications, including slide scanning, cell population count and analysis and intracellular detail analysis.
