Automatic Bias ControllerCoherent Solutions Ltd. offers the IQABC, an automatic bias controller for IQ modulators.

Enabling full automatic control of an IQ modulator's direct current biases, the device is modulation format-independent, allowing simple generation of optical signals. It also maintains optimization against any bias drifts or changes to the driving signal. When connected with an OIF-compatible IQ modulator, complex modulation formats such as multiple phase shift keying and multiquadrature amplitude modulation are stabilized by robust algorithms, displaying stable and repeatable results.

The device is targeted toward optical engineers working on coherent optical communications.
