Automotive Image Signal ProcessorThe Mali-C78AE automotive image signal processor from Arm is designed to advance the adoption of driver assistance and automation technologies.

Its hardware safety mechanisms and diagnostic software features enable system designers to meet ISO 26262 ASIL B functional safety requirements. Mali-C78AE aims to prevent or detect faults in a single camera frame that may result in incorrectly processed frame data. It can acquire, process, and display an image in 150 ms. It features more than 380 fault detection circuits and continuous built in self-test while being able to detect sensor and hardware faults of connected cameras.
