Broadband and single-wavelength nonpolarizing cube beamsplitters are available from Foctek Photonics Inc. They consist of a pair of precision high-tolerance right-angle prisms cemented together with a metallic-dielectric coating on the hypotenuse of one. The coating allows transmission and reflection for S- and P-polarization states to be within 5% of each other so they will not change the state of polarization of the incident beam. Maximum transmission efficiency for the appropriate wavelength range is achieved via an antireflective coating applied to each face of the beamsplitter.
