EdmundOptics.jpgThe compact design of the Techspec BeamX laser beam expanders from Edmund Optics Inc. makes them suitable for integration into a variety of optical systems. The expanders provide diffraction-limited performance over the wave input beam diameter to eliminate the need for critical alignment. Manufactured with fused silica, they are available in 532-, 633- and 1064-nm wavelengths, with broadband options. They feature a high damage threshold and excellent transmitted wavefront characteristics, according to the company. Magnifications of 3×, 5× and 10× support Nd:YAG lasers and a variety of other common laser sources. The system provides focusing with no internal rotation of optics.
