Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has introduced an addition to the BGS (ball guide screw) linear rail product line. The BGS06 linear rail uses the size 17 single- or double-stack stepper motor linear actuator.
Depending on static, dynamic and moment load requirements, the product design engineer can choose the BGS04, BGS06 or BGS08 frame sizes. All can position heavy loads and maintain both repeatability and accuracy while withstanding significant cantilevered loading.
The rail system uses linear stepper motors and precision rolled 303 stainless steel leadscrews with a Black Ice tetrafluoroethylene coating that provides wear-resistant and maintenance-free dry lubrication. The leadscrew drives a precision nut embedded in a machined aluminum carriage mounted to a stainless steel ball rail, resulting in a rigid, smooth operating motion system.
If a higher-level system is required, the IDEA drive is an option, with an integrated linear rail, stepper motor and programmable drive.
