BROADBAND SLED
Exalos AGRequest Info
Exalos AG has expanded its family of superluminescent light-emitting diodes (SLEDs) with the introduction of the EXS8610-2413, an 860-nm broadband model with 4-mW optical output power in a single-mode fiber and a spectral bandwidth of 65 nm at 3 dB and 100 nm at 10 dB. The company says that the device exhibits low ripple, which results in high suppression of secondary coherence peaks, and reduced sensitivity toward backreflections. Bellcore GR-468 and MIL-STD-883 qualified, the SLED is delivered in a 14-pin butterfly package with a built-in thermoelectric cooler and a monitor diode.
