FLORENCE, Ky., May 19, 2013 — Balluff Inc. has introduced the BVS-E infrared vision sensor with integrated daylight filter for machine vision applications.

Designed for secure code reading in normal light conditions, the sensor is suited for DPM (direct part marking) dot-peen codes. The company says that its light intensity is 10% greater than that of comparable red light sensors, and that its filter prevents visible ambient light from affecting image quality. The sensor comes with a standard or telephoto lens and with a 6-, 8-, 12- or 16-mm focal length. It is CE-certified.
