Beam ExpandersThe TECHSPEC LC Fixed YAG Beam Expanders from Edmund Optics Inc. use a simple, two-element Galilean design to provide cost-effective, diffraction-limited performance at the design beam diameter of 1 to 2 mm.

Twenty-four fixed magnification option are available from 2× to 10×, offered at standard YAG wavelengths of 355, 532 and 1064 nm. Custom magnifications and wavelengths are available. All of these beam expanders are offered with an M22 × 0.75 mounting thread.

The devices are used to increase the diameter of a collimated input beam to a larger collimated, less divergent output beam and are ideal in applications including laser scanning, laser materials processing, interferometry and remote sensing.
