Benchtop EDXRF
Applied Rigaku Technologies Inc.Request Info
Applied Rigaku Technologies Inc. has
introduced a high-resolution benchtop energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) elemental analyzer, the Rigaku NEX QC+.
The compact device delivers rapid quantitative determination of sodium to uranium in solids, liquids, powders and alloys and is compliant with the ISO 13032 method for determination of ultralow sulfur in diesel.
Designed for routine quality control applications, it has a high-resolution Peltier-cooled silicon drift detector that, together with a 50-kV x-ray tube, delivers good short-term repeatability and long-term reproducibility with good elemental peak separation. The high-voltage capability, along with multiple automated x-ray tube filters, provides low limits of detection.
The instrument has an intuitive smartphone-style touch-screen interface for easy operation and a built-in printer. The silicon drift detector affords high count rate capability with high spectral resolution, enabling it to deliver high-precision analytical results in short measurement times. The transversal electrical field generated by a series of ring electrodes forces charge carriers to drift to a small collection electrode.
Options include fundamental parameters, an automatic sample changer, a sample spinner and helium purge for enhanced light element sensitivity.
