Bio-Optical SensorAnitoa Systems LLC has announced the ULS24 Ultra Low-Light CMOS Bio-Optical Sensor, capable of detecting a few ng/ML of analyte in a sample.

The device features a proprietary ULS24 CMOS bio-optical sensor chip. Endowed with extreme low-light sensitivity, it forms a single-chip chemiluminescence imaging device and eliminates the need for a multi-site scanning mechanism commonly used by most chemiluminescence readers when performing real-time imaging of multiple immunoassay reaction sites.

With a 5 × 5-mm footprint consumption of 30 mW of power, the ULS24 is well-suited for point-of-care diagnostics applications, food safety and environmental monitoring.
