CENTENNIAL, Colo., June 28, 2023 — The BL-1000-F high-power and high-brightness blue laser from Nuburu Inc. offers compatibility with high-speed 2D galvo scanning heads.

The laser is designed for mass-market metal joining applications such as battery and consumer electronics production. The BL-1000-F can perform high-speed, precise welds on thin metals like copper and aluminum with no spatter and minimal defects. It utilizes the higher absorption of metals to blue light and delivers a 1-kW output power in a high brightness beam. The laser's beam quality enables it to be used with a high-speed scanning system, providing flexibility and faster welding speeds. With an all-semiconductor laser construction, it increases reliability, metal weld efficiency, and eliminates common production challenges such as metal distortion and weld gaps.
