With 16 mW of output, Power Technology Inc.'s 440-± 10-nm blue laser diode module is four times more powerful than its predecessor. The unit's increased power, combined with its exceptional temperature control, makes it particularly suited for demanding OEM analytical applications. In fact, the module features a precision current source and PID temperature control loop that provide stability of wavelength and output. Fluorescence, spectroscopy, high-resolution printing, interferometry and microscopy are only a few of the applications that can take advantage of this unique technology. In addition, the 440nm laser diode module serves as an excellent replacement for HeCd lasers. The module is available with standard elliptical output or with a circularized beam. The unit can operate in either constant current or automatic power control mode and is available with CW or modulated output. In addition, the 440-nm module features an adjustable focus, quality glass optics and optional beam-expanding optics.
