IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has announced the UI-524xLE-MB GbE board-level camera series with a remote interface.
The board, camera, lens and RJ45 interface are connected by a flex ribbon cable, able to be installed independently. The devices are equipped with 1.3-MP CMOS sensors from e2v, which are available in color, monochrome or near-infrared versions, providing frame rates of 50 fps. An internal 60-MB image memory allows for decoupling between image capture and transfer.
The cameras are compact for OEMs and small-appliance constructors to integrate the devices into small spaces.
