Xtreme high-durability broadband antireflection precision coatings from ISP Optics are efficient and nonradioactive, with high-durability characteristics for the mid-wavelength infrared 3- to 5-μm region. Designs are available for deposition onto a variety of infrared optical materials, including Ge, Si, ZnS, ZnSe and CaF2. High-durability coatings are applied to optical surfaces that are exposed to harsh environmental conditions. They withstand humidity, salt fog and severe abrasion and are an alternative to diamondlike carbon in situations where passing the windshield test is not required. Application areas include the military, aerospace, astronomy, medical, surveillance and security sectors, forward-looking infrared systems, thermal imaging, telescopes, and other infrared instruments and systems.
