CAMARILLO, Calif., June 22, 2023 — Silicon Carbide (SiC) Broadband UV Photodiodes from Advanced Photonix are designed for UV source monitoring.

The APX-SC0010 has a 1-mm² active area, and the APX-SC00025 has an active area of 0.25 mm². The solar-blind devices operate in the spectral range of 200 to 380 nm, blocking out wavelengths outside this range, including the visible spectrum. The photodiodes are designed for UV index monitoring, dose measurement, and flame detection applications. They offer high performance, wide temperature range, and long operating life. The photodiodes are assembled in hermetically sealed packages and have a reverse voltage of 20 V. They can operate at high temperatures with UV responsivity characteristics.
