SCHÖFFENGRUND, Germany, March 23, 2007 -- Moulded Optics GmbH has recently introduced multipage brochures describing its "new" standard line of precision-molded micro half-ball lenses, its standard line of aspheric lenses and its line of optical components.

The half-ball lenses are available with standard, truncated or extended center thicknesses in diameter sizes from 3 mm to 6 mm, from crown (nd = 1.523), borosilicate (nd = 1.480) and high-refractive (nd = 1.620) glass materials, uncoated. The hemisphere first surface is molded and the plano second surface is ground and polished. Lenslet array versions of micro half-ball lenses are also available. OEM applications include LED lighting, fiber communications, endoscopy, microscopy, optical pick-up devices and laser measurement systems.

The precision-molded aspheric lenses come with plano or spherical convex second surfaces, in diameter sizes from 4 mm to 80 mm, from crown (nd = 1.523), borosilicate (nd = 1.480) and high-refractive (nd = 1.620) glass materials, uncoated or antireflective (AR), ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS) and infrared (IR) coated. OEM applications include DLP, DMD, LCD and LCOS (liquid crystal on silicon) digital projection; stage and theatrical lighting; biometric, microscopic and recognition measurement; rain and distance remote sensing.

The precision-molded optical components are available in diameter sizes from 2 mm to 100 mm, from crown (nd = 1.523), borosilicate (nd = 1.480) and high-refractive (nd = 1.620) glass materials, uncoated or AR, UV, VIS and IR coated, including singlet, aspheric, bubble, cylindrical, fly's eye array, free-form, fresnel, half-ball, integrator plate and wedge, light pipe and tunnel, multiarray, plano, prismatic, relay and spherical lenses; aspheric, concave first surface, flat, spherical and free-form mirrors; dispersing, dove, penta, porro, roof and wedge prisms; ellipsoidal, multi-facetted, parabolic and prismatic reflectors; flat, free-form and spherical windows. OEM applications include DLP, DMD, LCD and LCOS digital projection; airfield runway, LED, medical, stage and theatrical lighting; biometric, microscopic and recognition measurement; rain and distance remote sensing.
