Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH has expanded its line of Xenoplan lenses with the introduction of the XNP 2.0/28 and the XNP 2.8/50. Featuring focal lengths of 28 and 50 mm, respectively, and an image circle of 22 mm, the lenses enable vision systems integrators and equipment manufacturers to use CCD and CMOS sensors as large as 15 × 15 mm. Broadband AR coating for the 400- to 1000-nm range maximizes transmission and reduces stray light for improved image contrast. Applications include machine vision, crash testing and high-end inspection. Components include a locking mechanism for the iris setting and a focus mechanism that allows a fine focus adjustment and lock, without backlash.
