A laser calibration tool has been developed by Alltec GmbH for use in laser marking systems to register and correct errors that lead to position inaccuracies during marking. It can be used on large and small marking fields and on curved surfaces and planes, delivering absolute position accuracy up to 10 μm. Applications include integrated circuits, semiconductor parts, front panels, tools and tubes. The marking job adjustment and the installation and operation of the system are simplified, leading to less scrap and fewer mismarked products.
