Vivid Engineering has introduced a series of products for systems based on the Camera Link interface standard. The CLS-201 test pattern generator simulates the characteristics of most cameras. The CLT-301R/L/M translators enable the use of RS-422 and LVDS cameras with Camera Link frame grabbers. The R and L versions support RS-422 and LVDS digital data, respectively. The M version supports mixed RS-422 and LVDS found in megapixel cameras. Using standard cabling, the CLR-101 repeater doubles the maximum effective distance between the camera and the frame grabber.
