CCD CAMERA

Spiricon's STC-700-1550 CCD camera has a 2/3-in. format, offering a 90% larger area than the ½-in.-format SP-1550M. The 1550-nm camera has a phosphor coating that converts NIR telecom wavelengths to visible wavelengths that can be detected by the CCD. The company says the device is approximately one-fifth the price of InGaAs cameras commonly used for analysis of telecom devices. It is suitable for beam-profiling NIR telecom devices and eye-safe rangefinders in the 1460- to 1625-nm range, including optical fibers, laser diodes, LEDs and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers.
