QImaging Retiga R3QImaging, part of Roper Industries Inc., has announced the Retiga series of CCD cameras for microscopy and imaging.

The cameras feature deep cooling that virtually eliminates dark-current noise. Limits of detection are lowered, improving quantification for more comprehensive results.

The Retiga R1 uses a 1.4-MP sensor for routine fluorescence imaging and documentation. The Retiga R3 uses a 2.8-MP sensor and offers more pixels to facilitate live-cell imaging and slide scanning with available binning for high-magnification work. The Retiga R6 uses a 6-MP sensor to support applications requiring high pixel count and large field of view, such as time-lapse, tile-and-stitch and stereo microscopy.
