The MacroFire monochrome offered by Optronics is a next-generation, scientific-grade, 2k × 2k digital camera with a 500% increase in field of view. It comprises a 4-megapixel CCD with 2048 × 2048 pixels that are 7.4 × 7.4 µm square, with a 40,000-electron well depth. Features include electronic shutter control, manual and automatic white balance, five binning modes and two independent subframing modes, and an IEEE-1394 interface. The camera is suitable for bright-field, dark-field and fluorescence microscopy, DNA analysis, near-IR imaging, semiconductor inspection, and failure and forensic analysis. Picture Frame 2.2 software is included.
