BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Aug. 3, 2010 — Hamamatsu Corp. has introduced CCD linear image sensors with an internal electronic shutter function. Designed for use in spectrometers, the S11155-2048 and S11156-2048 are back-thinned and achieve 10-MHz maximum readout due to their resistive gate structure.
They have a spectral response range from 200 to 1100 nm with high sensitivity in the UV region. Other features include low image lag, an improved antiblooming function and reduced etaloning effects.
The S11155-2048 has pixels measuring 14 × 500 µm, while the S11156-2048’s pixels measure 14 × 1000 µm. Both devices have 2048 pixels and are supplied in a 24-pin ceramic dual in-line package with a quartz glass window.
Minimum integration time is 30 µs, typical image lag is 0.1%, operating temperature is from -50 to 50 °C, typical signal output frequency is 5 MHz, typical line rate is 2 kHz, and horizontal shift register capacitance is 200 pF. Maximum power consumption is 12.5 mW.
