JAI.jpgJAI Inc. has released the AG-7000 intensified CCD camera for low-light applications. Offering standard RS-170 analog video output for connection to monitors and image acquisition cards, the device measures 45 × 51 × 87 mm. Its Gen III Ultra intensifier tube, which is fiber optically coupled to the 2/3-in.-format CCD, resolves images at 1 × 10–6 lx at the face plate, and at 1 × 10–4 lx through an f/1.4 aperture. Full autogating is provided to protect the sensor in bright environments and to enable camera use in a variety of day and night applications. Typically, the device requires 2.2 W to operate. It features a three-axis lens controller for use with motorized lenses. A software-based graphical user interface can be employed to remotely control the focus, the zoom or the iris settings on standard motorized lenses.
