BW-Tek.jpgFor UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy and high-performance liquid chromatography, B&W Tek Inc. has unveiled the BRC641E miniature back-thinned CCD spectrometer that measures 153 × 102 × 78 mm and is supplied with a USB 2.0 interface, a 14-bit digitizer and a detachable fiber-bundle option. It is available with detection ranges from 200 to 450 nm, 320 to 1040 nm or 200 to 800 nm. Its concave holographic grating lets in only 0.2% of stray light at 240 nm with a deuterium lamp or <0.2% at 800 nm with a tungsten lamp. It achieves quantum efficiencies of more than 90%.
